Writing letter to make friend's (Jonny) uncle understandable

Dear Mr. Chopra

I write this letter to talk to you about your nephew Jonny and to emphasize the importance of having you as a support for his academic life.

As you may already know, Jonny is a spectacular teenager who shows a strong talent for English and literature classes, although he has difficulties in other subjects, which is normal for most young people. We all believe that Jonny has a bright future ahead of him, but unfortunately he has no resources of his own to move forward with his dreams, needing a lot of your support.

You more than I know that Jonny cannot count on his parents to support his studies, since you are the closest and most important relative in this regard. Adult support is highly important for academic development and a promising future professional life.

I am sure that Jonny is very grateful for everything you do for him and is very sad and shaken by the possibility of losing his support, but he has difficulties in telling you, which motivates me to write this letter.

I appreciate your understanding and hope that I have managed to change your opinion.

Kind regards,

Agatha Melly.

Read the excerpt from act 3, scene 2, of Julius Caesar. [ANTONY.] For Brutus is an honourable man, So are they all, all honourab
Aloiza [94]

Answer: It is used as a negative and ironic word to describe Brutus.

Explanation:

<em>In Act III, Scene I </em>of <em>Julius Caesa</em>r, Caesar is brutally murdered by jealous conspirators.

<em>In Act III, Scene II</em>, Antony, a friend of Caesar's, argues that Brutus and his accomplices are<em> 'honorable'</em>. However, the constant repetition of this attribute creates the opposite effect.

Antony states that Brutus, an honorable man, said that Caesar was ambitious, and that Caesar has paid the price for this serious flaw. In this context, the word honorable is contrasted with the underlying accusations of murder, and thus carries the completely opposite meaning - that Brutus and his accomplices are murderers and are dishonorable.

statuscvo [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Here are the three sentences that I would choose and why.

  1. Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. <em> It was a huge surprise that everyone experienced on Dec. 7 1941. The whole speech is about that surprise.</em>
  2. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory believe interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again Hostilities exist. <em> I choose this one because it shows how determined Roosevelt was never to let this happen again. America will fight to see to that end. Look at some of the words treachery, righteous might, </em>
  3. ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December Seventh, 1941, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire. <em>Here Roosevelt is urging every American talk to congress through elected officials to back their heavy duty when they declare war on the Japanese Empire which he has already done.</em>

My comments are in <em>italics.</em>
