Writing letter to make friend's (Jonny) uncle understandable

Dear Mr. Chopra

I write this letter to talk to you about your nephew Jonny and to emphasize the importance of having you as a support for his academic life.

As you may already know, Jonny is a spectacular teenager who shows a strong talent for English and literature classes, although he has difficulties in other subjects, which is normal for most young people. We all believe that Jonny has a bright future ahead of him, but unfortunately he has no resources of his own to move forward with his dreams, needing a lot of your support.

You more than I know that Jonny cannot count on his parents to support his studies, since you are the closest and most important relative in this regard. Adult support is highly important for academic development and a promising future professional life.

I am sure that Jonny is very grateful for everything you do for him and is very sad and shaken by the possibility of losing his support, but he has difficulties in telling you, which motivates me to write this letter.

I appreciate your understanding and hope that I have managed to change your opinion.

Kind regards,

Agatha Melly.

One of the Romantic period’s characteristics was the expression of strong senses, emotions, and feelings in literary, art and music. Romantics rejected the idea of deduction – the process of gaining knowledge by using logic or reason; rather, they believe that it is gained through intuition, the ‘gut feeling’ – knowing something through natural feeling as guidance without evidence. In turn, this period emphasizes more on exaggerated emotions of awe, apprehension, horror and terror which intensifies the subjective perspective of one’s experiences.

After reading the passage I'm coming to the conclusion that the best answer would be the first one; It shows a side of Russell that doesn't make sense to others and suggests he may have other issues in the future. After reading this, it makes us all wonder "what's the deal with this guy?" So, this is the part where it makes no sense to others.

Do you think that how you act/present yourself on social media/online is different than in person? Why do you think that is? ( I
Greeley [361]

Answer:

Yes, how I act on social media is not how I am in person. Even though I try as much as possible to present the true picture of who I am on social media, I sometimes realize that only the good and glamorous part of me is presented to the world. I hide my faults from my friends and post nothing about them. This is deceptive as there is no person whose life is all glamorous. People who are easily carried away by all the show off can become depressed as a result of that.

Explanation:

This question requires that the reader should examine his activities on social media to find out if these activities are true representations of their offline activities.

A close examination of my activities on social media shows a presentation of only the good and exciting aspects of my life. My imperfections are hidden from the world. This is not a balanced representation of my personality and it is somewhat deceptive.

Describe Melantho’s character. Define the term foil and explain how Melantho is used as a foil for Eurycleria. (The Odyssey)
Pavlova-9 [17]

A foil in literature describes a character who contrasts with another character in order to make comparisons and highlight certain traits between these two persons.

Both Melantho and Eurycleia are servants of Odysseus. While Melantho is unloyal, (sleeping with the suitors while Odysseus is away) and treating him rudely when he returns disguised as a beggar, Eurycleia remains devoted and kind. Melantho is used as a foil for Eurycleia to showcase her good traits.
