The value of x from the given information is 2.72

Addition postulate

Given the following functions below

JD = 2x + 3y

DV=7-y

VN = 9x - 2y, and;

JN = 32

Using the addition postulate below;

JD+DV+VN = JN

Substitute the given parameters into the formula

2x+3y+7-y+9x-2y = 32

11x+2y-2y= 32- 7

11x = 25

x = 25/11

x = 2.72

Hence the value of x from the given information is 2.72
