When I Hold my largest cardboard square between the light source and the wall,  i find that the Light could pass through the cardboard and so it tends to form a shadow and since the cardboard is not very thick, rays of light do penetrate.

2b. the shadow tend to be smaller.

2c. No shadow at all

2d. The shadow ranges from clear to faint.

When one does the cardboard  experiment, the Results often vary, based on the exact materials and light sources that were known to have been used.

Note that in all, the expectation is that a reflective materials, such as aluminum foil and that of a mirror tends to reflect the said or given light.
