The radius of the circle will be half of the diagonal length.

first of all Avery has to attract a square after which draw the diagonals of the square.

Now, mark the point at which the diagonal cuts each other. setting one stop of the compass at that point and other cease at the vertex of the square draw the specified circle to be able to have the radius equal to the half of of the diagonal.

Let the side of the square is a units. Then the length of the diagonal =1.414× Side of square

= 1.414×a

So, the radius of the circle will be =[(1.414×a)/2]

                                                        = 0.707a units

Hence, the required radius is 0.707a units.
