The reason why Paul Revere made the engraving of British aggression at the Boston Massacre was A. To influence colonists to have a negative attitude toward the British soldiers.

Why did Paul Revere make the engraving?

Paul Revere made the the engraving of the Boston Massacre as a form of propaganda which was meant to cause colonists to view the British army and its soldiers in a bad light. Paul Revere was able to accomplish this by painting a biased engraving.

The engraving was biased because it showed the British soldiers deliberately lining up and shooting colonists. This was not the way it happened as the British had acted in something like self-defense and there were actual efforts by the commanding officer to stop the shooting.

Options for this question include:

 • A. To influence colonists to have a negative attitude toward the british soldiers
 • B. To encourage colonists to protest the Tea Act by throwing tea into the harbor
