<h3>What is domination?</h3>
Dominance is a form of power, typically socialpower, or control over others. Power disparities or imbalances are characteristics of dominance. Latin's dominus is whence the English word dominance is derived. A dominus is a master, and mastery is the most powerful position in society. Typically, masters have almost total control over how their slaves behave or the circumstances under which they behave. The master/slave relationship is therefore frequently regarded as the most blatant instance of dominance. A morallywrong or unfair kind of social power is dominance. Domination is morally serious no matter what it turns out to be. Being dominated often gives rise to anger and resentment toward the dominator or institutions that do the dominating or facilitate the dominance.
