Brad and Caroline are the concrete nouns in the sentence.

A noun is a word that typically serves as the name of a particular thing or thing group, such as a living thing, a place, an action, a quality, a state of existence, or an idea.

The definition of lexical categories (speech parts) is based on how their constituents mix with other expression types. In different languages, there are different noun-syntactic rules. Nouns are words that can be the head of a noun phrase in English and can appear with articles and attributive adjectives. As far as we are aware, every language has a division in grammar that resembles a noun-verb distinction.

Naddika [18.5K]

In Once Upon A Time by Nadine Gordimer, the narrator tells a "bedtime" story about a family which becomes obsessed with its safety and goes to extreme ends to protect itself from an unknown force which it is led to believe consists of undesirable people, "loafers, tsotsis" (hooligans) and even the unemployed. There is little understanding between cultures and "people of another color" are viewed with suspicion unless they are the "reliable housemaids and gardeners."

kondor19780726 [428]
I would say transitive because the verb bought has a noun after it. Corn, cucumbers and tomatoes are the receiving actions for the verb bought.
