There is a significant historical discrepancy between Richards and Nunn and Qian's account of the Columbian trade because:

Richards looks at the trade from the perspective of Native Americans, who were exploited and died as a consequence of the illnesses breakout (such as smallpox), whereas Nunn and Qian view it as a way for the Old World to advance technologically by using the items of the New World.

What are the particular historical events, developments, or circumstances that took place from 1491 until 1607?

It is well known that Nunn and Qian had a favorable influence in regards to the rich soil that brought about the rise in regards to economics and urbanization as it is an advantage to the Europeans.

A historical occurrence that is supposed to have been the event of the Spanish invasion of the Aztec kingdom is something that might help Richards with his views.

The problem of the ∨irginia corporation, which employs capitalism and amassed a significant amount of wealth in the new globe by means of the manufacturing of goods using slave labor, is the historical occurrence that might lend credence to the Nunn and Qian views.

How did the flooding cycle provide a seasonal rhythm for the Egyptian people?
Semmy [17]
This is easily explained with the fact that the Egyptian people were farming along the river Nile and waited for the flooding cycle which brought increased amounts of water from the mountains as the snow was melting. Due to this, they could arrange their seasonal working rhythm of growing crops according to the flooding cycle and could prepare for increased amounts of water which they could use to help grow their crops.

Why was it difficult to maintain a kingdom in the conquered lands?
hjlf
Machiavelli describes three ways to hold states that have been accustomed to living freely under their own laws. The first is to devastate them. The second is for the conqueror to occupy them. The third is to allow the state to maintain its own laws, but to charge taxes and establish an oligarchy to keep the state friendly. The third option is advantageous because the newly imposed oligarchy will work hard to secure the authority of the conquering prince within the conquered state because it owes its existence to the prince and cannot survive without his support. Thus, as long as the goal is not to devastate the other state, it is easiest to rule it through the use of its own citizens.

Hope this helps, took me awhile to type it all. :)
