a) The coordinates of A (2,9)

b) The coordinates of C (5,6)   [Refer image]

How is the midpoint of AB calculated?

Point A = (x_1,y_1) = (2,9)

Point B = (x_2,y_2) = (2,3)

Midpoint of AB is

 =(\frac{x_{1}+x_{2}}{2} , \frac{y_{1}+y_{2}}{2} )\\\\=(\frac{2+2}{2} ,\frac{9+3}{2} )\\\\= (\frac{4}{2} ,\frac{12}{2} )\\\\=(2,6)

How is the point C calculated?

Given:

Point C  is three squares directly to the right of midpoint of AB.

So, the point C lies at :

(2 + 3 ,6 ) = ( 5 , 6)

What is midpoint ?

  • The midpoint is a line segment's centre point in geometry.
  • It is the centroid of the segment and the endpoints and is equally spaced from both endpoints.
  • It splits the area in half.
  • The construction of a compass and straightedge can be used to calculate the midpoint of the line segment ,they determine given two points of interest.
  • A lens can be built using circular arcs of equal radii centred at the two endpoints to determine the midpoint of a line segment contained in a plane and the lens' cusps are then connected.

Tires for Sale
ohaa [14]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

2,547 / 4 = 636.75  There are 636 stacks with 3 tires left over.

4 tires at 65 each = $260

4 tires at 2 for 120 = $240

He should buy 2 sets of 2 tires for $120 and save $20.

Built in 2011, the capital gate tower is 150 meters tall (measured vertically from the ground) and makes a 72 degree angle with
Softa [21]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

You can create a right triangle out of this information and then use right triangle trig to solve.

We are given the height of the triangle as the height of the tower which is 150m.

We are given the angle of inclination as the degree the tower makes with the ground which is 72.

From the angle of 72 degrees, which is also known as the reference angle, we have the side across from it (the height) and we are looking for the side adjacent to it (how far from the base of the tower the keys will land). Side opposite the reference angle over side adjacent to the reference angle is the tangent ratio:

tan(72)=\frac{150}{x} and, solving for x,

x=\frac{150}{tan(72)}

Make sure your calculator is in degree mode to solve this. Divide 150 by the tan(72) and find that

x = 48.7 m

HOW DO I SOLVE THIS PLEASE HELP
LenKa [72]

Answer:

64

Step-by-step explanation:

Euclide's theorem states that in a right triangle, the square built of the side lenght is equivalent of the rectangle with sides hypotenuse and projection of the same side lenght. In formula, given the measures on the triangle:

60^2 = (36+x)(36) \rightarrow 3600 = 36(x+36) \rightarrow 100=x+36\\ x=64
