Which of the following sentences contains a comma error? With the moving van packed, my friend had to say goodbye. The packages

became too heavy for me, I dropped them. Everyone, even our neighbors, came to our Super Bowl party. My sweet, quiet father surprised us with his outburst yesterday.

"The packages became too heavy for me; I dropped them."
The one above me is wrong, for you use a comma when listing descriptions.

Answer: B) The packages became too heavy for me, I dropped them.

Explanation: when we have two independent clauses (phrases that have a subject and a predicate and make complete sense on their own), we can join them in two ways: by using a conjunction (so, but, and, etc) placed after a comma (the packages became too heavy for me, so I dropped them), or by using a semicolon (the packages became too heavy for me; I dropped them). But using only a comma is incorrect.
