The reason why Denmark Vesey was never able to hold a slave revolt in South Carolina was another slave told about the plan.

What happened to Denmark Vesey?

Denmark Vesey was an African American who lived in South Carolina in the early 1800s. He had been one of the luckier African Americans because he was able to win his freedom from slavery thanks to a lottery. Denmark Vesey was very troubled by the way other African Americans were suffering in slavery and so decided to sponsor an insurrection.

Denmark Vesey wanted to lead a slave revolt that would bring about the freedom of many African Americans in 1822. However, his luck would run out when an enslaved African American told the authorities about the puported plot. This led to Denmark Vesey being arrested with 34 enslaved people and being executed to serve as a warning.

According to the panama canal treaty signed by president carter, it says that
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer:

The treaty recognized Panama as the territorial sovereign in the Canal Zone but gave the United States the right to continue operating the canal until December 31, 1999.

Explanation:

On September 7, 1977, President Jimmy Carter and Panamanian leader Omar Torrijos signed the Panama Canal Treaty, which ceded U.S. control of the canal beginning in 2000 and guaranteed the neutrality of the waterway thereafter.

The treaties guaranteed that Panama would gain control of the Panama Canal after 1999, ending the control of the canal that the U.S. had exercised since 1903. The treaties are named after the two signatories, U.S. President Jimmy Carter and the Commander of Panama's National Guard, General Omar Torrijos.
