a. if the screen on the left is 40 inches wide, the height of The television is 22.5 inches.

b.  if the screen on the right is 40 inches tall, its width is 71.11 inches.

We are well aware that ratio and proportion will be used if a dependency is given in the form of two variables and other variables are requested.

it is given that, There are 9 height squares for every 16 width squares.

a. We need to tell height when the width is 16 inch

the height of the television whose width is 40 inch=\frac{(9)(40)}{16}

                                                 Therefore, Height=22.5 inches

b. to find width when height is 40 inches.

width of the tv is when height is 40 inches=  \frac{(40)(16)}{9}

                                                 Therefore, width = 71.11 inches.

As a result, a widescreen television has a width of 71.11 inches and a height of 22.5 inches when its width is 40 inches.

Now answer the question:
Savatey [412]

Answer:

y = 10

Explanation:

a = apples

b = bananas

the a is equal to 1.5, the b is equal to .3

so it's 2a + xb = 6

(2 x 1.5) + (y x 0.3) = 6

3 + (y x 0.3) = 6

y x 0.3 = 3

so the way we get the answer here, we remove the 0.3 from the side that has the number we're looking for. to do that, we put it on the side with the number we know

with addition problems, you just add or subtract from one side and do the same to the other.

with multiplication, we need to divide one side and multiply by the other.

all the dividing we're doing here will be changing the number with the y to be basically not there

but they'd probably have it written as 0.3y = 3

and the way we sometimes show division, is with the / symbol, so to get this, it would be (0.3y/0.3) = 3 once again, parenthesis just to keep it separate and to try and prevent confusion. you remove the 0.3 from one side and put it on the other by doing the same thing to each side

so it's currently (0.3y/0.3) = 3/0.3s
3 divided by 0.3 comes out to 10

so the answer ends up being y = 10

What are the coordinates of point of intersection of y=x+3 and y=3x-3?
Aliun [14]

Answer:

Correct option is

D

(0, 0)

Form the graph, we can see that solution is (0,0).

or

The point of intersection of lines y = 3x and x = 3y must satisfies both the equation.

From the options (0,0) satisfies both the equations, hence the point of intersection of given lines is at origin i.e. (0,0).
