Triple Oppression can cause difficulties for people due to reasons beyond their control (such as race, gender or family wealth)

Enslaved women faced triple oppression: because of their race, economic status, and gender. This somehow puts them at a disadvantage in society and they have to work harder to achieve the same things as normal people. oppression refers to the unjust or cruel use of power or authority against an underclass group. Oppression can occur in the market, industry, company, among employees, etc.

In short, the perpetuation of oppression requires a constant coercive presence capable of maintaining the oppressed. In order for  oppression to continue, a constant presence must be enforced that can preserve the oppressed.

One reason powerful nations rushed to grab colonies in the 1800s was the desire (1 point)for raw materials and natural resources
uysha [10]

One reason powerful nations rushed to grab colonies in the 1800s  was the desire for raw materials and natural resources.

By the 1800s, strong, centrally governed nations/states in Europe had emerged. The industrial revolution that began during this time  greatly enriched the European economies.

The industrial revolution created needs and desires that had to be met. The European nations, aided by their new economic and military strength,  resorted to seize foreign lands to exploit them for raw materials and resources to feed the mother industries back home.
