Biome is a large biogeographical unit that has its own specific set of flora and fauna. The environment, surroundings and the presence of species in any biome is decided by its geographical region and its climate. The various biomes in the earth are: Tropical Rainforest, Temperate Forest, Desert, Tundra, Taiga (Boreal Forest), Grassland and Savanna.

Desert is a biome composed of hot climate and long stretches of sand. The diversity richness is very low in such areas due to extreme heat and less availability of water and other essentialities.
