<h3>What happens to Stanley ?</h3>

The book is about Stanley Yelnats who is sent to Camp Green Lake, a correctional boot camp in Texas, after being falsely accused of theft. The plot also explores the history of that area and how the actions of characters in the past have affected Stanley's life in the present.

A wrongfully convicted Stanley is sent to a brutal desert detention camp where he joins the job of digging holes for some mysterious reason.

Stanley was convicted of stealing the shoes and was therefore sent to Camp Green Lake.
