Answer:

A short essay on the similarities between myths explaining the emergence and existence of human beings.

Explanation:

In this world, it is normal for human beings to wonder about the existence of human beings, and try to establish philosophies to try and construct the origin of man and development to the present modern man.

  • Some of the popular myths are ;
  •  Iroquois Creation Myth
  • Australian Aborigine Creation Myth
  • African Bushmen Creation Myth
  • Hebrew/Christian Creation Myth
  • Greek Creation Myth
  • Creation theory
  • Evolution theory.

creation theory

In the creation theory, it is believed that life began above the earth and depicts an unexplained existence of a supreme being who took 7 days to create the universe and all in it through word of mouth. It also explains that human beings once lived in peace with animals above the earth and, when human beings sinned, they were ejected onto the earth, which was one of God's formations.

African bushmen creation myth

It states that there existed a supreme being by the name of Lord Kaang. He lived beneath the earth. He created a tree that spread across the entire territory and started digging a hole across that extended to what is the present earth. He then sat on the edge of the hole and, from the hole came a woman. Later all the people had come out and gathered under the tree. Previously Lord Kaang had furnished the earth and now the people and animals gathered under the tree where he instructed them not to create a fire since it would cause a great calamity. He then moved to a secret position where he could watch his creation. When the day was over they started feeling cold and lit a fire, they could not see too. Unlike the animals, they could see and had fur hence they could not feel the cold. They fled to caves. The animals started fearing human beings and could no longer live together because of a communication breakdown.

The examples above are among many more myths but show a rough idea of what has been thought over time.

Similarities between various theories.

All have a supreme human being

All show punitive measures put in place by the supreme being

All depict a human being who is very insecure and breaks the laws to meet what they thought was a necessity in their existence.

Finally, all depict an anonymous location where the supreme being conducted the first creation from.

Gekata [30.6K]

Answer: It is important to write down your ideas so you don't forget them, and also so that you can re-read them again later, to make sure you aren't missing anything. It's also a nice thing to have to base your paragraphs off of, one idea/discovery for each paragraph. It helps space it out and also organizes.
