\I do find Rodriguez’s argument convincing in some way because he was one who uses culture to buttress his point. Most times people are used to staying in a culture that they were not born into but due to the fact that they have identified with it, they need not to be segregated or differentiated.
For example, in the article above, he was able to state no connection exist between ethnicity and race, and therefore, people are free to take on any ethnicity as a result of the things they hold dear or value and the kind of life they want to take in.

What is Rodriguez's claim in Blaxicans?

Richard Rodriguez's essay on the topic “Blaxicans and other Reinvented Americans” is one that shows that a an individual's identity is one that is not based on where the person was given birth to, but where they believe or feel that they are well connected to.
Therefore, I do find Rodriguez’s argument convincing in some way because he was one who uses culture to buttress his point. Most times people are used to staying in a culture that they were not born into but due to the fact that they have identified with it, they need not to be segregated or differentiated.
