The name of the dog that helped recover the world cup trophy after it was stolen in 1966 was Pickles.

Pickles was a black and white collie dog, known for his role in finding the stolen Jules Rimet Trophy in March 1966. This was just four months before the 1966 FIFA World Cup was scheduled to kick off in England.

The World Cup trophy was stolen on  March 1966 where It had been on public display in a glass cabinet during the  Stanley Gibbons Stampex rare stamp exhibition in Westminster. The thief managed to bypass the security and even ignored rare stamps with a value of million dollars to steal the silver-gilt trophy, which was thought to be worth less.

A telephone call to Joe Mears, chairman of Chelsea F.C. informed him that a package would be left at Stamford Bridge the following day. The package contained a £15,000 ransom, and the removable lining from the top of the trophy, and was given to the police, who arranged to meet the caller.  The police arrested a middleman who was used by the real culprit. Later they arrested the culprit who was sentenced for extortion of money and sentenced to two years imprisonment. I

The rest of the trophy was found, just seven days after it was stolen, wrapped in the newspaper by the front wheel of a parked car in Upper Norwood, South London, by the four-year-old Pickles, while taking a walk with his owner, David Corbett, as a reward it was invited to the celebration.

The compaction of soil is a negative phenomena. Write a sentence to hypothesize why this is true.
Mekhanik [1.2K]
Excessive soil compaction impedes root growth and therefore limits the amount of soil explored by roots. This, in turn, can decrease the plant's ability to take up nutrients and water. From the standpoint of crop production, the adverse effect of soil compaction on water flow and storage may be more serious than the direct effect of soil compaction on root growth. Alos, it can decrease a plants healthy ness according to water and nutrients

lora16 [44]
For the duration of the early stone age period all societies Egyptians, romans, Greeks, druids derived from the nomadic tribes founded in the continent of africa. Because of this historical point of origination archaeologists have resolute decisively that human existences have an interventionist agenda whether out of requisite for provisions, rival factions or competing groups or simply to offer claim to property we as homo erectus have discovered our world and sought to manipulate it to our will. That having been asserted because of this causal effect many geographical locations have relatively almost all at one time or another been inhabited by an ancient or modern society and this has given rise ultimately to commerce, agricultural development and the ubiquitous of crops all significant to lasting clearing and thus influential and manipulative of our dominance over the elements. <span />
