Hydrocephalus action would be a priority in the plan of care for this newborn.

Many neonates with PVH-INH will experience brain damage, which could result in hydrocephalus and other issues. With this high-risk newborn, the nurse should keep an eye out for any signs of hydrocephalus. The state of a urinary tract infection does not last after discharge. The majority of spina bifida cases are discovered at birth, thus the nurse wouldn't need to perform an examination. Not all infants at high risk for formula intolerance experience it.

An abnormal buildup of fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep inside the brain is known as hydrocephalus. The extra fluid widens the ventricles, placing pressure on the tissues of the brain.

The fluid that covers and cushions the brain and spine is known as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and it is transparent and colourless. The ventricles normally allow cerebrospinal fluid to flow into the brain and surround it.

What common problem affects the client in labor when an external fetal monitor has been applied to her abdomen?
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

Intrusion on movement

Explanation:

When the external fetal monitor is applied to the abdomen of a pregnant lady, movement is discouraged. Because, movement may alter the tracing of fetus and the nurse may not exactly know the heart rate, Respiration rate and movement of fetus. Hence, the mother should remain static so that the true movement and breathing of fetus can be matched with the monitor reading accurately.

Effectus [21]

If he is trying to consume 30% of his calories from fat, he should consume 33 grams of fat.

How much fat should I consume per day?

The WHO recommendation is to consume up to 30% fat of the total calories ingested per day. That's considering a diet of 2000 kcal/day.

With this information, we can conclude that if he is trying to consume 30% of his calories from fat, he should consume 33 grams of fat.

Paladinen [302]

Answer:

Celery has negative calories because it provides fewer calories than what is needed to chew, digest and absorb the nutrients.

Explanation:

Celery is considered as negative calories food because it is very low in calories. When a person wants to loose weight celery is a go to meal. It provides less calories to a person than he looses to consume it. When a person chews, and digests the celery his calories are loosed.

A client is being administered chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of cancer. Which blood cells will be stimulated by the
elena55 [62]

Answer:

The white blood cells i.e. granulocytes and macrophages are specifically stimulated by GM-CSF in response to chemotherapy in cancer patients.

Explanation:

The colony stimulating factors (CSFs) are the regulators of granulocytes and macrophages in blood. The CSFs has the potential to regenerate the white blood cells damaged during chemotherapy. Thus, CSFs mobilize the stem cells to enhance the immune process and produce hematopoietic cells such as granulocytes, macrophages in cancer patients. The CSFs resemble hormones that are specifically targeted to produce blood cells in specified regions where the quantity of those cells is low. The CSFs belong to a group of regulatory factors also known as cytokines and does not produce only a single cell type but stimulates colonies of different blood cell types for any specific organ. Hematopoietic cells produced by CSF are step-wise and formation of blast colonies take place initially. Afterwards, the blast cells regenerate and differentiated into multiple progenitor cells consisting of granulocytes, monocytes, macrophages, eosinophills, erythroids, and lymphocytes. The progenitor cells in the granulocyte-macrophage lineage matures into neutrophilic granulocytes and macrophages.

Out of all types of CSF colonies, the Granulocyte-Macrophage (GM-CSF) colony is specially involved in regenerating immune responses in cancer patients. These cytokines stimulates the dendritic cell formation and produces dendritic activity against the cancerous cells. These GM-CSF colonies enhance the immune response of host against melanomas, tumors by reducing their growth and inducing remission. Hence, it can be said that granulocytes and macrophages are infection protective cells and elevates dangerously low levels of white blood cells in cancer patients following chemotherapy. The GM-CSF induction regenerates the bone marrow which is damaged and improves stem cells production.

Currently, the only skin test reagent for tuberculosis diagnosis that is commercially accessible is called purified protein derivative (PPD) (TB). The purpose of this work was to create a Mycobacterium tuberculosis-specific skin test reagent that would not produce false positive findings from the Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine utilizing recombinant antigens. By comparing the proteins in the M. tuberculosis culture filtrate to the proteins in PPD IC-65 using tandem mass spectrometry, 54 proteins were discovered to be shared. Top candidates ESAT 6, CFP 10, and MPT64 were overexpressed in Escherichia coli expression strains and isolated as recombinant proteins. The antigens were tested on guinea pigs that had been exposed to M. tuberculosis H37Rv and BCG to determine the best immunodiagnostic PPD combinations to use.
