How does Orwell's use of satire?.

English

In Orwell's book Animal Farm, satire is used often, and in one parody, human inventors are compared to pig. When embellished, Pilkington appears piglike.

Among the literary devices used by Orwell are satire, allegory, and the usage of a tale. With the use of these literary allusions, Orwell is able to highlight a number of societal themes, such as the importance of human rights, the use of knowledge and intelligence as tools of dictatorship, and the use of false means to hold onto power.

The rivalry and competition between Napoleon and Snowball serves as an example of these three problems. Many who say this book is related to the Russian Revolution compare the events between Snowball and Napoleon to those between Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky.

Schach [20]
"Vanishing" has the connotation of happening almost magically-disappearing while people are looking. It also shows that something is disappearing or ending very quickly. Something 'finishing' or 'ending' feels like it was supposed to happen, that it's nothing out of the ordinary. Vanishing has a much more extraordinary quality.

This supports his main idea because he is trying to prove that terrible things (like the Holocaust) happen right in front of people's eyes and they don't do anything to stop it if they are being indifferent. This ties into the act of something vanishing because it happens in magic when people are looking right at the magician or the object that disappears.
