Function y = 7x + 9 has the greater rate of change with the rate of change equal to 7 compared to other functions.

Given that,
Two functions are given one in the form of an equation i.e.
y = 7x +9
and another function is in tabulated form i.e.
x = 0   5     7
y = 3  18    24
Which function has the greater rate of change is to be determined.

<h3>What are functions?</h3>

Functions are the relationship between sets of values. e g y=f(x), for every value of x there is its exists in a set of y. x is the independent variable while Y is the dependent variable.

Here,
y = 7x +9
Since the slope of the equation represents the rate of change so slope of the above equation is M1 = 7
Now, the slope of the function given in the table,
M2 = (18 - 3) / (5 - 0)
M2 = 15 / 5
M2 = 3
Hence M2<M1, the rate of change of function y = 7x +9 is more than other functions.

Thus, function y = 7x + 9 has a greater rate of change with the rate of change equal to 7 compared to other functions.

Y=-3x+12 and x+ 1/3y=4 solve by graphing please and show the solution
viva [34]

Answer:

The answer to your question is These lines have infinite solutions because they are the same line.

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation 1   y = -3x + 12

Equation 2   x + 1/3y = 4

Solve for y

Equation 1    y = -3x + 12

Equation 2   y = -3x + 12

See the graph below

From the graph, we conclude that the lines are the same so they have infinite solutions.

If they have crossed in one point that would have been the solution.
