The blending inheritance theory is different from preformationism in the sense that the theory tells us that the offspring is seen as an equal blend of both the two parents but in that of preformationism, it is one that tells us that offspring are those who inherits all of its traits and it is only from one parent.

What is blending inheritance as it contrast that of preformationism?

The theory of blending inheritance is one that tells us that the egg and sperm that is obtained from the two parents has material that tends to blends only as at conception, affecting the growth of the offspring.

This theory tells us that the offspring is seen as having the an equal blend of the both parents. In preformationism, the offspring are said to only have all of its traits from a single parent.

Therefore, The blending inheritance theory is different from preformationism in the sense that the theory tells us that the offspring is seen as an equal blend of both the two parents but in that of preformationism, it is one that tells us that offspring are those who inherits all of its traits and it is only from one parent.
