Don't be a belligerent writer - let your characters take charge and impel the story forward spontaneously!

A short story about an Arts student.

Sophie sat in her art studio on a Saturday evening, staring at her unfinished painting.

She didn't want to work on it but there was no other work left for her to do. She would have been impelled to be with her friends who were probably going out tonight, but she had promised that she would finish this piece first.

This situation merges her, She pulled out the big rubber mallet from under the table and began beating down on the paint with belligerent, squishing all of the beautiful shades into one uniform color like muddy water which characterizes her angriness.

A few hours later, she took a break and poured herself some drink from the glass carafe next to her easel which shows her spontaneous reactions in her.

At 10 pm, she grabbed her jacket and keys before leaving the house through the back door so as not to disturb any neighbors.

The street lights illuminated her path home just enough so that she could make out shadowy figures by a nearby park bench.

As soon as she reached them, they turned around quickly looking startled...

What do these lines from antigone show about creon's character?creon:better, if needs be, men should cast us outthan hear it sai
fiasKO [112]
My answer would actually be a mixture of A and C but if you must choose one i would go with C the full quote
"What evils are not wrought by Anarchy!
She ruins States, and overthrows the home,
She dissipates and routs the embattled host;
While discipline preserves the ordered ranks.
Therefore we must maintain authority
And yield to title to a woman's will.
Better, if needs be, men should cast us out
<span>Than hear it said, a woman proved his match. (671-680)"

shows that Creon's view is very much "the man must be in power" </span>

Which two parts of this excerpt from Mark Twain's "The £1,000,000 Bank-Note" use hyperbole? "I may use your name! Your name--thi
navik [9.2K]

A hyperbole is either a word or a sentence in a text that shows an overstatement (an exaggeration), it does not have to be literal; it is just a way to express your ideas in order to generate a contrast or to get the reader's attention.

In the excerpt the hyperboles (exaggerations) are:

  • <u><em>Your name--think of it! Man,</em></u><u><em> they'll flock in droves</em></u><u><em>, these rich Londoners; they'll fight for that stock! </em></u>

When the writer says <em>"they'll flock in droves", </em>he refers to a very big amount of people together.

  • <em><u>In less than twenty-four hours London was </u></em><em><u>abuzz</u></em><em><u>!</u></em>

When the writer uses the word <em>"abuzz", </em>it does not mean the city was on fire; it means the city was lively busy.
