Exposition refers a comprehensive description and explanation of an idea. It is the start or introduction of a play or a story. The exposition is the first part of the Plot Chart which consists of five parts.

The Good Prince Bantugan is a great story about a prince in the kingdon of Bumabaran. This story is based on the oral tradition of Maranao Tribe.

The story of The Good Prince Bantugan starts like this. An old king ruled over the kingdom of Bumbaran. This kingdom was rich, has good people and the king should've been very happy, but the king was not contented. His heart was full of envy and jealousy towards his younger brother, Prince Bantugan. He would always be very angry when someone praises his younger brother.

Prince Bantugan was very handsome and women in the kingdom would say that very often. The king would look in the mirror and see with sorrow that he was not good looking.

Prince Bantugan was also good and brave, which other people would say, and the king will get angry because he knew he was not as good as his younger brother.

The king grew tired of people saying so many good things about his brother while they said nothing nice about himself. The young ladies smiled at Prince Bantugan. They allowed him to hold their hands, and they gave him their love. But they did not like the older brother, the king.

The next part of this will be the rising action where one day the enemies attacked the kingdom of Bumbaran.

For a moment he was tentative to run after her and ask for an explanation about her undeserved attitude, yet he remained unkempt looking to the sky with a verbatim feeling that there are some things that are not meant to happen. He remained that afternoon working warily with the boxes of whiskey and the idea of an undeserved rejection. Many years later when he was an old man, and had stopped dealing with liquor he would cherish those precious days when he was happy among the boxes of whiskey and then he saw her, the lady with the sinister and unforgiving look on her face, his never-accomplished love of his life…
