The business cycle affects output and employment in capital and durable goods industries more severely than in industries producing non-durable goods because, large investment requirements and greater demand fluctuations.

Consumer nondurable goods are purchased for immediate or almost immediate consumption and have a life span ranging from minutes to three years. Common examples of these are food, beverages, clothing, shoes, and gasoline.

In economics, a durable good or a hard good or consumer durable is a good that does not quickly wear out or, more specifically, one that yields utility over time rather than being completely consumed in one use.Products made of paper and paperboard comprise the largest portion of nondurable goods. Other nondurable products include paper and plastic plates, cups and other disposable food service products, disposable diapers, clothing and footwear, linens, and other miscellaneous products.Examples of consumer durables include appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, and air conditioners; tools; computers, televisions, and other electronics; jewelry; cars and trucks; and home and office furnishings.

poizon [28]

Answer:

I do not agree that "the needs of a society conflict with the goals of the financial services industry's desire to make a profit", but on the contrary, I consider that the economic objectives of the financial system contribute to the well-being of the individuals that make up society, with which they satisfy the needs of this in an indirect way.

I believe this because the financial system, through its will to profit, creates jobs and economic opportunities for individuals, who would otherwise be forced to meet their needs without the help of a system designed to profit as a result of work done (such as communism).

Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

(a) To Record the issuance of the note

Debit Cash $1.57 million

Credit Notes payable $1.57 million

(To record notes payable issuance)

(b) Adjusting entry for interest expense at December 31:

Debit Interest expense $23,550

Credit Interest payable $23,550

(To record interest expense on notes payable as at Dec 31)

Explanation:

Note payable is a promissory note with a written promise made by the borrower to the lender (payee) to pay a certain, definite sum at a specified date.

Interest expense on the notes is calculated as: Principal x Interest Rate x Time

In this case, the total interest expense is $1.57 million x 9%/12 x 6 months = $70,650.

Total interest expense to the Company as at December 31 is therefore $70,650 / 6 months x 2 months = $23,550.

Colil Computer Systems, Inc., manufactures printer circuit cards. All direct materials are added at the inception of the produc
Natasha2012 [34]

Answer:

D. $246,000

Explanation:

As per the given question the solution of direct material cost assigned to good units completed is provided below:-

To reach Cost transferred out we need to follow some steps which is following below:-

Step 1. Cost per unit = cost of material used ÷ Units started

= $300,000 ÷ 12,500

= $24

Now,

Step 2. Goods units completed = Started units × Cost per unit

= 6,250 × $24

= $150,000

Step 3. Normal spoilage = Cards units × Cost per unit

= 4,000 × $24

= $96,000

and finally

Cost transferred out = Goods units completed + Normal spoilage

= $150,000 + $96,000

= $246,000

To reach allocation of Cost transferred out we simply put the values into formula.
