Less religious than other regions, southern colonies New England because southern colonies had greater religious freedom than New England.

What is New England?

New England is a region consisting of six states in the Northeastern United States of America: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Like in the Middle Colonies, the southern colonies had greater religious freedom than in New England, but the Church of England in the United States of America was the majority. The majority of the colonists in the Southern region of the United States of America were men.

Therefore, the New England region is less religious than other regions.
