The statement that tells ∠A and ∠B are complementary is The sum of angles is 90

What is complementary angles?

Complementary angles are those whose combined angle is 90 degrees or less. To put it another way, two angles are said to be complimentary if they combine to make a right angle. In this case, we say that the two angles work well together.

Consider the case where one angle is x and the other is 90° - x. Thus, for trigonometric ratios when one ratio is complementary to another ratio by 90 degrees, such as; we employ these complimentary angles.

sin (90° – A) = cos A

cos (90° – A) = sin A

tan (90° – A) = cot A

cot (90° – A) = tan A

sec (90° – A) = cosec A

cosec (90° – A) = sec A

Hence, you can see here the trigonometric ratio of the angles gets changed if they complement each other.

As per the definition of complimentary angles if the sum of the angles is equal to 90 then they are complimentary

∴ The statement 4 is correct .

Answer:

Problem 2: k = 3

Problem 4: NO SOLUTION

Step-by-step explanation:

Problem 2 work:

-4/3(12k + 27) = -57 - 9k

-16k - 36 = -57 - 9k    -ADD THE -9k TO ITSELF AND TO -16k-

-7k - 36 = -57     -ADD THE -36 TO ITSELF AND -57-

-7k = -21

<u><em>k = 3</em></u>

<u><em /></u>

Problem 4 work:

5/2(6w - 16) = 18w -(3w + 40)

15w - 40 = 18w - 3w - 40    -ADD THE -3w TO THE 18w-

15w - 40 = 15w - 40

A corn silo contains 8,250 cubic feet of corn before it is
QveST [7]

Answer:

V=8250-18*c

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation will be:

V=8250-18*c

Where:

  • V is the volume of corn in the silo after loading begins.
  • 8250 is the initial volumen on the silo before the loading begins.
  • 18 is the 18 cubic feet per hour given as rate of loading.
  • c is the number of hour elapsed after loading begins.

To find the volume, V, of the  corn in the silo c hours after loading begins, we substract from the initial volume the quantity of corn loaded and this is 18*c, that is the number of hour elapsed multiplyed by the rate of loading.

A hose is leaking water at a rate of 2 oz/h. How many cups of water will leak out after 2 weeks?
Over [174]

Answer:

84 cups of water will leak out after 2 weeks

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets how many how to change oz to cup

- One cup contains 8 oz

- We can use the ratio to solve this problem

- A hose is leaking water at a rate of 2 oz/h

- We need to find how many cups of water will leak out after 2 weeks

∵ The rate of the water leak out is 2 oz/hr

∵ 1 cup contains 8 oz

∴ 1 oz = \frac{1}{8} cup

∴ 2 oz = 2 × \frac{1}{8} = \frac{2}{8} = \frac{1}{4} cup

∴ The rate of the water leak out = \frac{1}{4} cup/h

∵ 1 day = 24 hours

∵ 1 week = 7 days

∴ 1 week = 7 × 24 = 168 hours

∵ The number of hours in 1 week is 168

∴ The number of hours in 2 weeks = 168 × 2 = 336 hours

⇒    cups    :    hours

⇒      \frac{1}{4}         :   1

⇒     x         :    336

- By using cross multiplication

∴ x = 336 × \frac{1}{4}

∴ x = 84

- x represents the number of cups of water leak out
