After the battle of Bunker Hill, Henry Knox was able to help General Washington by coming up with a plan to transfer the guns from Ticonderoga into Boston. Knox gained Washington's favor and was promoted to being a colonel general. By December 1775, Knox was able to bring him 69 guns and ammunition for the troops.
