The World contacted me on September 22 asking whether I might be admitted to one of the mental hospitals in New York.

With the intention of writing a straightforward and unvarnished account of the patients' care there and the management techniques, etc.

Did I really believe I had the strength to go through what the assignment required in New York? Could I sufficiently mimic insanity to get past the physicians and spend a week among the mad without the local authorities realized that I was only a "chiel amang 'em takin' notes"?

I stated that I thought I could. A new York I had some faith in my acting skills and believed I could play insane for long enough to complete any task given to me.

Could I spend a week on Blackwell's Island's mad ward?

I stated that I would and could.

Why is it important to use citations within your research paper?
Savatey [412]
If you don't use citations it makes you look like your are plagiarizing another's work. Additionally, citations make it easier for the reader to understand where you got your information from (maybe they want to check its validity or perhaps research the topic for themselves).

What is one way that frink connects events throughout her diary
Advocard [28]

Answer:

Margaret Frink and her husband traveled from their home in Indiana to the goldfields of California.

Explanation:

Margaret Frink and her husband liked nature and were intrigued by the exciting moments they could experience in there. They also set out for Independence, Missouri, stopping to stay in hotels and farmhouses along the way.

She also describes the time when they arrived in Independence, Missouri where they had the company of the son of one of Frink's friends, and where they learned that the grass on the prairie would not be growing until May.

She finally tells a fascinating tale of danger, discomfort, and deprivation when they were in Sacramento and all the businesses they built when they got there.

How do text features elaborate on key ideas?
Alja [10]

Answer:

Text features also help readers determine what is important to the text and to them. Without a table of contents or an index, readers can spend wasted time flipping through the book to find the information they need. Special print helps draw the attention of the reader to important or key words and phrases.
