Equity theory suggests that couples are happiest in relationships when there is a balance of inputs and outputs.

Equity theory focuses on determining whether the distribution of resources is fair to both relationship partners. Equity is measured by comparing each person's contribution to profit ratio.

Justice theory, commonly known as Adam's theory of justice, seeks to establish a balance between workers' inputs and outputs in the workplace. If employees can find the right balance, their relationship with management will be more productive.

An example of a theory of justice: If an employee finds out that his colleague doing the exact same job as him is making more money, he can choose to work less, thus making it easier in his eyes. creates fairness.
