Answer: The questions are answered.

Step-by-step explanation: The calculations are done as follows.

(i) Since I use 8 fluid ounces of fruit juice in making 64 fluid ounces of fruit punch, so percentage of fruit juice used is

p_1=\dfrac{8}{64}\times 100\%=\dfrac{100}{8}\%=12.5\%.

Also, a fruit punch we can buy from a store has only 10% of real fruit juice, so my fruit punch has higher percent of fruit juice than that available in the store.

(ii) I make 36 out of 80 shots while shooting baskets at a basketball hoop, so the percentage of shots is

p_2=\dfrac{36}{80}\times 100\%=\dfrac{36\times 5}{4}\%=45\%.

Since my friend makes 43.75% of the shots, so I made a higher percentage of shots.

(iii) I find 25 out of 40 gems in a video game, so percentage of hidden gems that I found is

p_3=\dfrac{25}{40}\times 100\%=\dfrac{25\times 5}{2}\%=62.5\%.

Since at least 60%  of hidden gems must be found to earn a bonus, so definitely I will earn a bonus here.

Thus, all the three questions are answered.

1. The first one I think you would divide 8 from 64 n get 8 so thats 8%. Answer to that would be the Store.

2. You would!! 56%

3. Multiply 2.5 to 40 and 25. You need a denominator of 100. 62.5/100
So yes you did find at least 60%

I think I did this right. Hope it helps!

kiruha [24]

f(x) = 250(2^x)
f(12) = 250 (2^12)
Calculate f(12) = 250 (2^12) and you should have the answer. Just remember that f(12) stays the same since it is a function.
