Switch all x variables to -x.

If the new equation is the same as before (y = x^2 + |x|) then the equation is even.

If the new equation is the exact opposite (y = x^3 --> y = -x^3) then the equation is odd.

If the equation turns out to be neither (y = x+1) then the answer is neither.

It can never be both.

Try graphing it out too! Even ones are symmetrical across the y axis. Odd ones can be rotated 180 degrees and still create the same line.

Leila is buying a dinosaur model. The price of the model is x dollars, and she also has to pay a 7% tax. Which of the following
arlik [135]

Answer:

x + 0.07x or 1.07x

Step-by-step explanation:

To find a percent of a number, multiply the decimal form of the percent by the other number.

7% = 7/100 = 0.07

This means 7% of x is 0.07x.

This would give us the amount of tax to be added; the total amount of the same, including tax, would be

x+0.07x

We can also consider this as adding an extra 7% of the cost. This means we would have 100% of the cost with another 7% of the cost; this is

100+7 = 107% of the cost. 107% = 107/100 = 1.07; this gives us 1.07x.

Amanda uses her Credit card to purchase $75 of materials Amanda pays her credit card off each month
stealth61 [152]

The remaining balance that Amanda will pay when the credit card is used to pay $75 from the total amount is $125.

How to compute the amount?

Your information is incomplete. Therefore, an overview will be given. Let's assume that the total purchase made by Amanda is $200.

In this case, she uses her credit card to make payment for $75. Therefore to know the remaining balance, you'll subtract $75 from the total purchase. This will be:

= $200 - $75

= $125

Distance. For a given speed, the distance traveled varies directly with the time. Kate's school is 5 miles away from her home an
Evgesh-ka [11]

So here we need to use the formula: Distance = Rate * Time

So for Kate, 5 = r10, so rate = 1/2

Saying that Josh travels at the same speed, means he's traveling at the same rate

So for Josh, 2 = 1/2t, so time = 4 minutes

What is -4/3 on this? Say all that apply (5 stars and brainliest for best answer)
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

Rational Numbers

Step-by-step explanation:

- An integer in its most simplified form cannot be a decimal nor a fraction, meaning -4/3 nor -0.75 would work.

- A whole number is a number that is either positive or negative but cannot be a decimal in simplified form. -4/3 is -1.333.... which is less than one and negative, meaning it cannot be a whole number due to it obviously being a decimal.

- -4/3 is not a natural number as it is both a decimal and negative.

- -4/3 is not irrational because it repeats when in decimal form.

- -4/3 is rational as in decimal form it repeats and to give more information, rational numbers can be both positive and negative numbers. The 3 that repeats in the decimal form of -4/3 works as a rational number due to this.

Therefore, it would apply to the first square.

Thanks!
