As he wanted a fair trail for each person, along with that he condemned the law to hang a person with out having any trial for him. The fifth amendment was opposed by many land lords and power houses, as they needed him off the floor. Because, if he had lived any more years, it would have been some thing disastrous for the whole conservative mindset inside the southern region.
