Bangladesh was formerly known as Eastern Pakistan. It was originally a region of Pakistan, but tax disputes and political autonomy issues happened. This caused Eastern Pakistan to join the Indian Military to fight against the Western Pakistan, and it eventually became Bangladesh in 1971.
