If you are asking about how military personnel refer to non-military people, then the correct answer would be civilians. If you are talking about an army made up of regular people, then I believe it is known as a citizen's army. Hope this helps!

Why did Austria shift alliances in the mid-1700s?
Nesterboy [21]

The correct answer is B) Austria began to see Prussia as a greater threat than France.

Austria shifted alliances in the mid-1700s because Austria began to see Prussia as a greater threat than France.

After the first Treaty of Versailles, Austria reviewed his foreign policy and realized that Prussia was a greater threat than France. So in 1756, Austria made an alliance with France after many years of having the British as its allies. Previously, Austria had lost some territory in war, so it preferred to change its foreign policies in order to protect its interest in further conflicts.

ioda

The reason why the author described voter ID legislation before explaining her argument was to show that voter ID laws are supported mostly for partisan reasons.

What is voter ID legislation?

This is a legislation that was done by a number of states in the United states that required the voters in elections to provide certain ID's before they were allowed to vote.

The author tried to show that the legislators were only doing it for the sake of their parties.
