“Perceptions can be created through verbal and nonverbal messages.” is an example of a way perception and communication are linked.

The statement says that people create an image about people and the world around them through verbal and non-verbal communication. It is not stating an specific way in which people perceive the world or how it can be used to one's advantage. It is simply claiming how perceptions are created. Communication has to do with sending a message and therefore it makes sense that perception and communication are connected. An example of non-verbal communication can be making eye-contact; this sends the message that one is paying attention to what the other person is saying.

The correct answer is C. The league produced many fine players, including Mary “Bonnie” Baker and Dorothy Kamenshek.

Explanation:

In the passage presented both sentence (11) and sentence (12) aim at providing the reader with examples on the players the AAGPBL produces, in the case of sentence (11) Mary "Bonnie" Baker is mentioned and sentence (12) adds Dorothy Kamenshek was equally a fine player that emerged from this women softball club, this implies both women are equally important, because of this both names should be linked by adding the conjunction "and", considering this conjunction expresses a relationship of equality between the element it joints. Besides this to show the reader these women are examples of the results of the softball club it is necessary to the word "including" and it is already clear they are examples of "many fine players" is not necessary to add any further information after the name of both women. Thus, the correct way to combine sentence (11) and (12) is "The league produced many fine players, including Mary “Bonnie” Baker and Dorothy Kamenshek" because it expresses both women are examples of fine players of the league and are in the same level.

Why does Geoffrey Ashe most likely make the following reference to depictions of biblical scenes in “Conversation with Geoffrey
shutvik [7]

Answer:

b) To prove that artists are not historians

Explanation:

Geoffrey Ashe most likely made the reference in the depiction of biblical scenes because he wanted to prove that artists are not historians.

He made the observation that when you see a painting of an angel appearing to Mary, a window at the back looks like a French chateau which could not have existed in Nazareth.

A chateau is a manor house or where a Lord resides and because a window resembles a chateau in a painting that is supposed to depict the biblical Nazareth, it is likely that the artist that made the painting is a poor student of history.

Geoffrey is of the opinion that artists are not historians (or good students of history) because of the blatant error of putting a French chateau in a painting of Nazareth.

The first paragraph of stage directions describe the play's setting. It full describes the layout of the room, including the placement of doors and windows. The furniture is explained and laid out. Also described are the wall decorations. It gives a clear picture of the setting. The other options are incorrect because we aren't introduced to any of the characters or a possible theme of the play.
