What is the relationship between groundwater and aquifers?

Geography

The groundwater and the aquifers essentially fall into the same category, as both of them are part of the underground freshwater reserves (though in some cases they can be saline as well). The groundwater tends to be mixed with ground very often. It also has the tendency to move inside the ground, making holes into the rocks or the ground and trying to find its way out on the surface. The aquifers, on the other hand, are much more static. They are larger bodies of water that are located inside the ground. In a way, they are like underground lakes, or rather reservoirs of water. The connection between these two, apart from being underground water bodies, is that the groundwater is often supplying the aquifers with water, thus recharging the water that they have lost though human usage or evaporation.

Base your answers to questions 62 through 65 on the graph below and on your knowledge of Earth science.
yaroslaw [1]
After reviewing the graph you have given with the question, there are several reasons why carbon 14 can't be used to accurately determine the age of organic remains that are 1 million years old.

A few of the reasons are; Carbon-14 has a short half life, after 1,000,000 years there wouldn't be enough carbon 14, and too little of the original radioactive sample would remain. Any of these choices are correct for the answer to the question you asked.

Explain what an Historian, Archaeologist and Geographer do in their jobs.
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
Archaeology is the study of human activity in the past, primarily through the recovery and analysis of the material culture and environmental data that has been left behind by past human populations, which includes artifactss, architecture, biofacts and cultural landscapes . Because archaeology employs a wide range of different procedures, it can be considered to be both a social science and a humanity and in the U.S, it is thought of as a branch of anthropology although in Europe it is viewed as a separate discipline.
A historian is a person who studies and writes about the past and is regarded as an authority on it. Historians are concerned with the continuous, methodical narrative and research of past events as relating to the human race; as well as the study of all history in time. If the individual is concerned with events preceding written history, the individual is a historian of prehistory. Although "historian" can be used to describe amateur and professional historians alike, it is reserved more recently for those who have acquired graduate degrees in the discipline. Some historians, though, are recognized by publications or training and experience. "Historian" became a professional occupation in the late nineteenth century as research universities were emerging in Germany and elsewhere.

Geographers study the earth and its land, features, and inhabitants. They also examine phenomena such as political or cultural structures as they relate to geography. They study the physical and human geographic characteristics of a region, ranging in scale from local to global.

hope this helps
