A. Cambodian genocide - When the Khmer Rouge took over the Cambodian government in 1975, millions of people were sent off to labor camps where they were abused and starved.

B. Armenian genocide - the mass killing of Christian Armenians in the Ottoman Empire took place from Spring of 1915 to Autumn of 1916. Out of 1.5 million Christian Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire, as many as 1.2 million died during the genocide. The Armenians were deported to the deserts of the southern Empire. On the way, many died of starvation, dehydration and diseases.

There were many reasons the kids started working at age 8 and worked as many hours as the adults until the Child Labor Laws were out into affect. The other reason was the women did not get paid as much as men. Also, they did not get to have breaks and if you did they were very seldom. So if like you cut your hand you have to come back to work and if you were sick it didn't matter you were expected to come in still and work.
