1. a journal article written by a professor at a respected university (At a respected university, faculty members are supposed to be knowledgeable, so this article should be a reliable source.)
2. a magazine article on dinosaurs written by an expert paleontologist (Paleontology is the science of the forms of life existing in former geologic periods, as represented by their fossils. So an expert paleontologist surely knows a lot about dinosaurs.)
3. an online article that cites several reliable sources throughout it. (If an article uses reliable sources of information, then this article can be considered reliable, too.)
<em>Unreliable/not fully reliable sources:</em>
<em>a book about technology advancements that was written in 1970 </em>(We don't know whether the author is knowledgeable about the subject or not, so we can't call the source reliable.)
<em>a website devoted to only religious viewpoints on the negative effects of war</em> (Religious writers are known to be strongly against war, so you can hardly expect a variety of views on the matter. The information provided will probably be slanted or selective. Such information isn't necessarily untruthful, but it may omit certain facts, thus not giving a complete picture of the subject.)
