People are hesitant to report corruption because (1) they would be ‘silenced’ (killed) by the person they are trying to expose or (2) they are part of the dirty job. Corruption is stealing of funds that are not supposedly owned by the stealer. In most cases, it is mostly happening in institutions and organizations.

Suppose that only 40% of the U.S. public supported the general direction of the previous U.S. President’s policies. To determine
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Here claim is that support for the current President is higher than 40%

As null hypothesis have greater than sign, hypothesis here is vs H0: P= 0.4 VS H1: P> 0.4

Now -216p=200=0.42

Hence test statistics is

z = p - p/√pq/n = 0.42-0.4/√0.4 x 0.6/500

= 0.91

P value for this test statistics is P( z> 0.91) = 0.1814> ∝ = 0.05

As P value is greater than alpha, we fail to reject the null hypothesis

Hence there is no sufficient evidence to support the claim that p>0.4

we can conclude that 40% pool of the U.S. public supports the general direction of the current

Does symbolic interactionsim make sense? How?
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

Yes, symbolic interactionism makes sense because we create fluid, changing meanings for symbols and objects given what we experience every day.

Explanation:

Symbolic interactionism is a framework for understanding how society is maintained in the relationship between individuals. Through interactions like conversation, cohabitating, and working together, people recreate meanings that they share. This amounts to shared understanding and interpretations that help to flesh out the social context we each live in. Thus, our natural and symbolic environments are made sense of through interaction and behavior that give meaning to objects and concepts. Putting your thumb up to mean yes is an example of symbolic interactionism that has come to mean more in this day and age because of the likes on social media.
