The slope of 7x+2y=10 is -7/2

and since the line you want is perpendicular to it so its slope is 2/7

its equation is: (y-4) = 2/7(x+6)

y-4 = 2x/7 + 12/7.............(multiply by 7)

7y - 28 = 2x +12

7y - 2x = 40
