A similarity between native Americans of the southwest and the Egyptians was that they both built pyramids.
Ancient Egypt is well known for its magnificent pyramids, like the Giza pyramids where the Great Pyramid is. Close to Giza, there are other important archeological centers where other pyramids were built. In the case of Mesoamerican civilizations, they also are well known for the great pyramids they built such as the Pyramid of the Sun, the pyramid of the Moon, and the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl, in the great city of Teotihuacan. The Aztecs also built pyramids in its capital city of Tenochtitlan, and the Maya civilization built pyramids too, such the Cichenitza Castle in the Yucatan peninsula.
The Age of Exploration (also called the Age of Discovery) began in the 1400s and continued through the 1600s. It was a period of time when the European nations began exploring the world. They discovered new routes to India, much of the Far East, and the Americas.
