European empires were triggered by maritime expansion while others were military and imperial expansion such as in China. Russian empires were different since they were not defensive instead they were potentially threatening. Many of the territories conquered by the European empire were oceans away while the Chinese stayed closer to their imperialistic power. The empires also attempted to encompass most of the Americans normally, while Chinese was an imperialistic power. In addition the empires started since they were at an advantage geographically while the Chineses started military expansion

How did the elements of nationalism, imperalism, miltarism and alliances lead to causing World War 1? 55-75 words
Kruka [31]

Nationalism had Europeans each viewing their own nations as better than the others, in competition with the others.  This would lead to an increase in tension between the nations.

Imperialism carried that nationalistic rivalry to other parts of the globe.  Nations sought to grab control over parts of Asia and Africa.  When war erupted, that also made it a world war, because people from imperial territories would be brought into the war.

Militarism included a massive arms race -- expanding armies and navies.  The construction of so much more military hardware made the coming of war more likely.

Alliances were being arranged, often through secret negotiations, with terms of the alliances known only to those who were involved in the negotiations.  Sometimes the fact that alliances were being made was announced publicly. This business of conspiring in regard to alliances caused escalating nervousness and tension in Europe.  This was a fundamental problem that lay behind the ultimate outbreak of the Great War  (as World War I was called at the time it occurred).

Which word best describes the constitutional provisions relating to the powers of the president? select one:
serious [3.7K]
Vague
the constitution does not establish several powers of the president as it does when dealing with congress. looking at the section enumerating congressional powers, there are clearly spelt functions, powers and prerogative, something that is lacking when it comes to the president, mainly because of the fear that the framers had on such institutionalized powers.
