The first step of the writing process is Prewriting. In this step, you brainstorm and build up an idea on what you'll be writing about before structuring how you want to write it. 
The second step is Writing. In this step, you write your first draft, not worrying about any errors there may be.
The third step is Revision. In this step, you add, rearrange, remove and replace things in your writing that could be changed.
The fourth step is Editing. In this step, you edit any grammar, spelling, or sentence errors.
The last step is Publishing. In this step, you finalize every decision for your writing before publishing it for others to read.
