Hey there,

Jack claims that he has seen something bulge in the mountain top. He and his friends believe that it is a beast or some type of monster. But, it is actually the dead body of a parachutist. They let their imaginations get the best of them because the parachute is swaying in the wind.

Cheers

Winning with Words Which of the following main entries is given first in the dictionary? a. Kingdom come c. King James Version b
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

The main entry that is given first in the dictionary is (c.) King James Version.

A dictionary is a book that lists the words of a language in alphabetical order and provides the readers with their meaning. Moreover, dictionaries also offer information related to the origin and pronounciation of words. As words are arranged in alphabetical order, the entry that is given first in a dictionary is "King James Version" because, unlike the other options, the word "king" in this entry is not directly followed, that is to say within the same word, by any other letter. "King James Version" is followed by the entry "Kingdom come" because there is a "d" after the word "king" and, in the alphabet, "d" comes before "f" and "s". In "kingfish", "king" is followed by "f"; therefore, this entry comes after "kingdom come", whereas "kings" ("king" is followed by "s") is the last entry.

Hey again!
:D

I think option 2 is one of the answers since both poems do use the elements of nature, such as describing the sky many times.

I think option 6 is also one of the answers because both poems kind of talk about youth.

And finally, I think option 3 is another answer because both poems kind of end happily.

*I AM NOT 100% SURE THIS ARE CORRECT, SO PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF THEY'RE NOT.
