Eric is standing closest to the Equator.

Explanation:

The Earth is marked with imaginary lines called parallels (staring from the Equator) and meridians (starting from the prime meridian). Their purpose is to enable easier orientation, as well as measuring absolute location on every part of the planet. The parallels measure the latitude, south and north, while the meridians measure the longitude, east and west.

When it comes to the parallels, they measure latitude north and south from the Equator, which is the main parallel line. The latitude is 0 degrees at the Equator, and it goes to 90 degrees north, thus to the North Pole, and 90 degrees south, thus to the South Pole. Basically, the smaller the latitude, the closer a place is to the Equator, and the larger the latitude, the further away a place is from the Equator.

In this case, Eric is at a location that has the smallest latitude, so he is the closest to the Equator. Keisha is the second closest to the Equator, as the latitude on which she is is the second smallest. Yvette, on the other hand, can not be at a latitude of 110 degrees, as the latitude only goes up to 90 degrees, so it is a misrepresentation.

what happens to a glass of ice water when you leave it at room temperature for an hour? Does the heat travel to or from the ice?
Naddika [18.5K]
The heat travels to the ice because the ice is colder than the temperature of the air in the room. This happens because the temperature is trying to regulate and when something is warmer than another substance or object then the heat will travel from the warmer object to the colder one. When this happens the ice melts because it can't be a solid for a long period of time.

CaHeK987 [17]

When visiting the beach, felicity observed that a breeze blew in from the ocean during the day and out toward the ocean at night The uneven heating between the land and water.

There are many different sorts of weather on Earth, including wind, rain, cyclones, and breeze. Because of changes in the earth's state, certain environmental conditions are felt. On the planet, heat, cold, and rain are some consequences of temperature. Gaseous flow causes rapid air movement, which results in the development of winds, breezes, hurricanes, storms, and gales.

By creating lower zones through the movement of air from higher zones, winds are produced and air pressure is increased. A breeze with various variations is produced by average-speed winds.

Features such as: affect the wind's properties.
