Simple math here!

If 2 = 15
that mean
1 = 7.50 (I divided 15 by 2)

So now you multiply!
7.50 * 15 = 112.50

So for 15 it would cost $112.50

Hope this helps.

Hey there! Hello!

The way I usually do these problems (there are most likely others) is to find the price per unit (your CDs in this example), then multiply that price by the amount that I need to figure out.

In this case, 2 CDs costs $15.00. To find the price of 1 CD, we'd need to divide the price by 2 to get $7.50 for each CD. Now that we have the price per unit, we can multiply by the amount needed, 15 CDs, to get the total. 7.50 times 15 is 112.5, meaning that 15 CDs will cost $112.50 total.

Hope this helped you out! Feel free to ask me any additional questions if you have any. :-)

.Margaret is treating her best friend to a birthday dinner. Before ordering, Margaret wants to have an idea of the final bill. T
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

Your answer is 61.

Step-by-step explanation:

Simple enough! We simply round up each cost to the nearest whole dollar. $6.50 can be rounded to $7, $15.75 can be rounded up to $16, $2.25 can be rounded up to $3 (Note we're rounding up, in normal rounding we would round down to $2). Finally, $7.25 can be rounded up to $8.

Next comes simple algebra,

7+(16*2)+(3*2)+(8*2)=61

Therfore, your overestimate of the cost would be 61.
