Answer:

to a service economy

Explanation:

The countries of Southern Europe, Spain, Italy, and Greece. have been gradually transitioning to service economies in the past several decades. The main reason for this is that these countries are the most attractive tourist destinations in Europe, which is due to their nice climate, long coastlines, beautiful beaches, and lot of historical, beautiful sites. More and more of the population has started to specialize for the service sector, mostly the tourism because of this, and rightly so, considering that this is the sector that brings in most of money and offers more and more jobs.

fredd [130]

Considering how large of a GDP the US have, I would agree with such a move. There's several reasons why I would agree on such a move. One of them is of course the well being of the nature, as it is crucial for the survival of every living organism, including the humans. Reforestation will bring in lot of benefits that will gradually return the investment. For starters, the air quality will improve, and by doing so, the health problems among the people will reduce significantly, thus much less will be spent on healthcare. Part of the new forests can be fruit forests, which will be an enormous reserve of organic food without having to use any labor or effort in production. Also, by establishing forests, whole ecosystems will get back on the scene, so lot of useful plants can be harvested from the forests, such as herbs and mushrooms. If the US makes a deal so that it can use certain part of the benefits from the forests until it gets its enormous investment, it will be a win-win situation for everyone. In order to have the budget for the global reforestation, it would be the best to cut down on the budget for development of weapon of mass destruction and the budget for war.

The eastern part of the border between the united states and mexico is delineated by.
NISA [10]

Your answer is, The Rio Grande

What is The Rio Grande?

The Rio Grande, known in Mexico as the Río Bravo del Norte and as the Río Bravo, is one of the principal rivers in the southwestern United States and in northern Mexico. The length of the Rio Grande is 1,896 miles and originates in south-central Colorado, in the United States, and flows to the Gulf of Mexico.

How does The Rio Grande affect the environment?

A finite amount of water flows through the Rio Grande every year, so when there are shortages, every city along the river is affected. Due to climate change, hotter and drier seasons are reducing the snowpack that melts to feed the Rio Grande, and rising temperatures are increasing evaporation from the reservoirs.

Thus, The Rio Grande is your answer.

A soil's infiltration capacity A. typically increases when dense vegetation is present at ground level. B. is eliminated on bare
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

Option (A)

Explanation:

The infiltration process refers to the downward percolation of water through the soils and gets mixed up with the groundwater. This plays an important role in the water cycle. This water percolation depends upon the following factors, such as-

(1) Rate of precipitation

(2) Type of soil

(3) vegetation cover

(4) Slope of the land surface

(5) Porosity and permeability of the soil (rock).

The rate of infiltration increases with the increasing vegetation cover in that particular area. The plants absorb the water by their roots during rainfall, and this water can flow towards the deeper parts of the roots. The excess water is then allowed to pass through the interconnected pores within the soil (rock), and eventually gets added to the groundwater.

Thus, the presence of dense vegetation in an area favors the rate of the infiltration process.

Hence, the correct answer is option (A).

What type of fossil evidence may exist that would lead scientists to believe that dinosaurs were ancestors of birds? Why might l
lawyer [7]

1. The fossil evidence that will relate the dinosaurs and birds could be a transitional form of organism, or body structures that share the same characteristics.

Explanation:

It is generally accepted that the birds are descendants of the dinosaurs, or rather a separate branch of animals that has evolved from the dinosaurs and has remained as their last representatives. The scientists only recently though managed to figure this out, as initially there was no proof of something to connect the two.

The proof came in the form of a fossil of an organism that had characteristics of both the dinosaurs and the birds. Clearly a transitional form, this organism stunned the scientist, as it had wings and features, with the body shape being something in between a reptilian and a bird, but still had a tail and teeth. With the finding of more and more fossils from different periods, it became clear that the birds actually evolved from small, bipedal dinosaurs which tried to avoid competition by occupying the canopies and later flying.

2. The large dinosaurs were too specialized, while the small birds were much more opportunistic when it came to food sources.

Explanation:

As we all know, the dinosaurs are extinct, with only one branch of their family managing to survive until the present, the birds. The dinosaurs were the dominant life form on the planet during their existence, which in turn made them evolve in manner that made them highly specialized, and that turned out to doom them when the impact happened.

When the impact happened, the environment got heavily disturbed and the habitats around the globe changed in matter of hours or days. This left all of the animals that were specialized in particular food source to starve to death, as there is no way they could have evolved in few days to save themselves. On the other hand, the animals that were small and highly opportunistic when it came to food sources, like the small birds and mammals, managed to survive. They were able to feed on variety of different things, smaller animals, insects, roots, plants, so they survived.
