Business

Incentives act as a catalyst in providing people hope and motivation that could lead them either in a better or worse state. Those who are in the position to implement laws must put into mind these incentives as these help them to change their people to work harder economically. Policymakers must plan how to provide incentives to all people regardless of race, sex, gender and occupation so that biased decisions with regard to this extra profit will be received by all. But giving these often might predispose people to just rely on it and the quality of service might be put at stake. So offering incentives must be properly studied and monitored by those who will provide it, the policymakers.

Answer:

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

Standard quantity= 3 hours per unit

Standard cost= $16.00 per hour.

During January:

2,000 products are produced using 6,300 direct labor hours.

To calculate the direct labor quantity variance, we need to use the following formula:

Direct material quantity variance= (standard quantity - actual quantity)*standard price

Direct material quantity variance= (2,000*3 - 6,300)*16

Direct material quantity variance= (6,000 - 6,300)*16

Direct material quantity variance= $4,800 unfavorable

Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

patent 301,350 debit

       cash 301,350 credit

franchise 633,600 debit

        cash 633,600 credit

development expense 189,000 debit

         cash 189,000 credit

year-end adjustment:

amortization expense 50,225 debit

         patent 50,225 credit

amortization expense 31,680‬ debit

         patent 31,680‬ credit

Explanation:

The patent and franchise will be activate as there is a certain possibility to produce positive cashflow in the future.

They will be adjusted at year-end for amortization:

301,350 / 6 = 50,225 amortization on patent

633,600 / 10 = 63,360 amortization on franchise

As it was concede on July 1st then, we will do half-year

63,360 / 2 = 31,680‬

The development cost will be treated as expense as there is no precise information that can determined the development cost which yield a positive outcome.
