Answer:

Various themes, plot elements, and characters in the Epic of Gilgamesh have counterparts in the Hebrew Bible, notably the accounts of the Garden of Eden, the advice from Ecclesiastes, and the Genesis flood narrative. The parallels between the stories of Enkidu/Shamhat and Adam/Eve have been long recognized by scholars.

The stories betweent he Epic of Gilgamesh nd the book of Genesis are very much the same, but when comparing the details within they are very different. The flood of Gilgamesh was written before 2000 B.C, while the Genesis story was written in 400 BC Which was much later then the Gilgamesh flood. ... They most likely intended the original story with their own mythology.

galina1969 [7]
The United States became an "isolationist" nation because of all the funds it loaned to its European allies during World War I, not to mention all of the US lives that were lost in the war as well. This is because the US felt it was wasting time, money, and American lives on a war that did not affect them.
